Songs For Pregnancy and Infant Loss Month

Female with eyes closed listening to songs for pregnancy and infant loss

Sometimes there are no words that can help ease the pain experienced in our lives. The only thing we can do is ride the waves of emotion. Sitting with emotions can be really uncomfortable and even scary. I’ve found that music can help me feel the feelings I need to feel in a controlled way so I can move with the wave until it subsides and I can feel my feet under me again. One emotion that is especially scary is grief, and even more devastating is the grief that comes from saying goodbye to a child. In honor of pregnancy and infant loss awareness month in October, here is a list of songs to listen to help feel the grief that comes.

1. It’s Quiet Uptown from the Hamilton soundtrack

2. Baby Blue by the Dave Matthews Band
